Yesterday was a great day to be a “Reg” at Timothy O’Toole’s, as we went down in craft beer history. The first KBS 2014 (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) keg in Chicago was officially tapped at 5:00 pm by none other than the Founder and CEO of Founders Brewing Co. himself, Michael Stevens. As awe inspired patrons stood, in what seemed to be wonder and amazement, the much anticipated KBS was finally flowing.

And a glorious sight it was...

Good form, Stevens, good form.

We enjoyed Stevens’ remarks on all things KBS, but we liked drinking it with him even more.

One event attendee switched his flight to make that Tuesday afternoon one he will remember for the rest of his life… The first time KBS touched his lips.
When asked why he made such a heroic move, he answered, “Everyone talks about this beer, and I have never gotten to try it. I was late to a launch party in the past and the KBS was emptied out, I had no choice but to make it this time.”

Needless to say, the beer was a major hit. So much, that Timothy O’Toole’s was “trending” on the popular social networking site aimed at crafted beer enjoyment, “Untappd”.10150535 10151966565085919 692555096 N
